About Us
Tom is an award winning wood turner who draws from his experiences as a musician, museum exhibit designer and trained massage therapist in the design of his fiber tools. He understands the need for integrating beauty, function and comfort into his work. Linda is a fiber artist and these days, an an art quilter.
We use our hands to craft the tools destined to be held in your hands. We design all our tools to be beautiful to the eye and comfortable in the hand. Whether it is wood items we craft here or those we design and have crafted for us, our tools look, feel and perform beautifully. |
We are located in beautiful Chester, Vermont. Our wood shop is in a nearby village, but it is in Chester where we polish, buff, and fine tune our needles, sew our cases, and craft our cables and stops. All of our components and materials are sourced in the US, locally when possible.
We receive daily inquiries for our wooden Darn Pretty™ needles. We post new offerings on Instagram, Facebook, in our Newsletter, and to the DyakCraft Lovers group on Ravelry.

Our History |
We began our business in 2001 as Grafton Fibers. Tom turned hand spindles while Linda carded spinning fibers. In 2003 the sheep arrived, as did our crochet hooks, the Harmony™ loom, and our infamous Darn Pretty™ needles! We became DyakCraft in 2009, after leaving the farm behind and starting out anew. |
