Coated Wire Cables

$15.00

Strong, supple, and sized just right for our stainless steel connectors! The wire coated cables use the same connector as our former clear cables and will fit our Darn Pretty™, Northern Light™ and Black Nickel needles and crochet hooks.

**These cables do not fit Heavy Metal™ needles.**

Minimum length needed to form a circle:

2 inch tips: 5 inches
3.5 inch tips: 8 inches
4 inch tips: 10, but we recommend 12 inches
5 inch tips: 12, but we recommend 16 inches

Cables are measured by the length between connectors. To calculate using a tip to tip measurement, deduct the total tip length (including connectors) from the total length you want your cable:

Examples:

Two 3.5 inch needle tips (and the connectors) total approx. 8 inches - for a 16 inch needle tip to tip, 16-8=8. A 24 inch needle tip to tip would be 24-8=16.
Two 5 inch needle tips (and the connectors) total approx. 11 inches - for a 32 inch needle tip to tip, 32-11=21. For a 40 inch tip to tip needle, 40-11=29.

NOTE - if you are a tight knitter, consider putting a smaller tip on the left side, and a larger tip - the size needed to make gauge - on the right. Knitting will flow much more smoothly this way!
