NL-Ni Needles are crafted from solid aluminum, turned, polished and then plated using a proprietary process. The transition from shaft to taper is seamless. While most needles have a concave taper, our needles sport a convex curve that allows the yarn to flow easily and effortlessly from needle to needle. Each needle is polished by hand before and after plating. The result of these efforts is a superior needle with a superior balance and finish, one that warms to the touch and stays warm while you knit!

The Top of the Line! Northern Light™ BLACK NICKEL needles are incredible needles.  The introduction of black into the nickel plating results in a superior knitting experience! They are slick and fast while retaining warmth in your hand. The black color is not true black, but a glow given to the needles. (Think of polished hematite stones.) The black nickel allows the reflection of light, so even dark yarns are easy to see, and yet eye strain from glare is greatly reduced.

The Black NL-Ni needles can tip (the very tips of the needles turn silver), depending on your knitting style.
